The Skates application maybe referred to as ‘Skates' or ‘app’ within this document. The creator of the application, Paul Dredge, maybe referred as 'Developer', 'us', or 'we'.

  • The types of information that maybe collected, or that you may provide when you download, install, or interact with the Skates application.

This policy exclusives applies to information collected in the application, or in connection with the application. 1.0 Data Collection

What data is being collected by this app, and how it may present whilst using it.

TLDR

We do NOT collect any data from you. No way to see what you're storing, no analytics of how you use the app. Your data is exactly that...yours.

1.1 Personal Information – Data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.

Nothing. It's not possible. Anything that you store in the app is kept either locally or within your iCloud account. It is not accessible to us. If you would like any more information on how Apple stores your data, you can visit the Apple Privacy website.

1.2 Non Personal Information – data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual.

The Skates app stores the Athletes, Programs, and any data associated with them, such as scores, within Core Data. This is a Framework provided by Apple, and is secured by your Apple ID. We do not have access to any of the data stored within your account. We do not log any keystrokes, search queries or how you use our app. In order to sync data across multiple devices, another Apple Framework is utilised (CloudKit). This is directly connected to your Apple ID, however, all data is encrypted and cannot be seen by Skates.

1.3 Analytics

This app uses no Third Party Analytics or metrics. The app does utilise Apple's Logging API, but this is stored on the device, and not sent to the developer. It is used when building the app in a development environment, and is not able to transmit logs remotely from other devices.

1.4 TestFlight and Debugging Data

If you are using a development version of the app, through the TestFlight app. You maybe asked if you would like to submit feedback. This can be in the form of screen shots or crash reports. This is voluntary option, and is not required. All data is stored through Apple, and only the crash reason is delivered. None of your personal information, such as Personal Identification Numbers, are sent.

We use Apple's opt-in service for crash reporting. Your device model, iOS version, the timestamp of when the crash occurred and any other crash data that is automatically created by the Operating System, will be viewable. However, this is an opt-in, and can be disabled at any time.

1.5 Payments

We may provide paid products and/or services within the Application. We may use third-party services for payment processing. We will not store or collect your payment details. That information is provided directly to third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policies.

1.5.1 RevenueCat

RevenueCat is a subscription management service that handles subscription entitlements to the app. It stores an anonymised profile of the user's subscription.

2.0 Third Party Libraries

The app does use some Third Party Libraries. However, none of these libraries are used to log any of your data. For transparency a list of the libraries can be found below, and within the About section of the app.

  • CloudStorage - A wrapper around the NSUbiqitousKeyValueStore. Used to track settings across devices

  • CompactSlider - Used to input Grade of execution values.

  • CustomKeyboardKit (Forked) - Creates a custom keyboard for inserting Key Points.

  • RevenueCat - Handles all subscription tracking.


3.0 Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual or device, without restriction.
We may additionally disclose personal information that we collect or provide:

  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligation to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose this information to them.

  • To fulfil the purpose for which you provide it.

  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

  • To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.

  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect our rights, property, or safety or those of our customers.


4.0 Security of Your Data

Whilst, this app does not send any data to third party analytics companies. It does make use of Apple's CloudKit framework. This is used to synchronise data across your devices, that have the app installed. Please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Whilst, we have used commercially acceptable means to protect any data connected with the app, we cannot guarantee that it is 100% secure.


5.0 Updates to this Policy

At times it may be necessary for us to make changes to this Privacy Policy such as due to changes in the services we offer, Apple's policies and procedures, and/or applicable laws. We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Please review these policies periodically.
